Workshops
I teach, through my online courses, and in-person workshops, both in the UK and overseas. My courses are about sharing techniques and structures for students to explore their own stories, true or imagined, through the use of found materials and photographs.

Compendium Society
Campbell Town, Pennsylvania, USA
9 - 13 April, 2025

I’m thrilled to be a teacher at the Compendium Society! This is a 5-day week filled with making, building, and constructing handmade artist books, from a variety of traditional and non-traditional materials. You’ll work pages, structures, bindings, closures & more, leaving the retreat with four (4) books tucked neatly into a hand-built bookcase. We’ll explore the concept of an artist book, explore our definitions of the same and why these are so much more than an art journal. We invite you to share in the discovery of why book making makes our creative hearts full.

Workshop Recordings
“I had such a wonderful time at one of Jane’s workshops and will certainly go to more. Learning new techniques in a relaxed atmosphere reignited my creativity which has been somewhat lost recently. Life can have its challenges and we sometimes stop doing the thing that lifts us … creativity is good for the mind, body and soul! Thank you Jane, for sparking the magic again for me.”
