Original artwork, lovingly made from a vintage image of a young girl, old letters and papers and encaustic wax.  
 
I made a base tile from card and collaged numerous pieces of vintage letters and papers and an image from an old book.  I then added encaustic wax.  This creates a beautifully layered effect with glimpses of the different papers showing through.  The wax gives an exquisite, ethereal appearance.
 
This is made from vintage materials so it looks old...please expect signs of wear on the materials. 
 
The collage is approximately 4 x 4 inches and could be mounted for framing, or displayed as it is.
 
This is a really exquisite piece of art, and truly original, all handmade by me in my studio in Somerset, UK.
