This beautiful original assemblage artwork was created as part of the Artful Memories Challenge, where a new piece is made each day in response to a creative prompt. The inspiration for this piece was:
 
"Lucas tended the land with quiet devotion'."
 
I altered an antique photograph and combined it with pages from a vintage gardening magazine, dried flowers and coated it in encaustic wax. The artwork is presented in a vintage playing card box that I carefully adapted to complement the piece.
 
Dimensions: approximately 2.5 x 3.5 x 1 inches plus about 2 inches where the legs extend.
