A unique handcrafted ephemera journal. These books are amongst my favourite things to create. Over many years I've collected antique papers, fabrics and photographs from many sources, and these books are the perfect way to give them a new life.
 
The pages are made from a wide variety of papers and are combined with vintage photographs, images, textures, stitch, and small pieces of collage and artwork. See the video flip-through to see the whole journal.
 
The cover is an original collage made from antique paper, vintage lace, a dried flower and it fastens with a silk tie closure. The spine is made from linen from the 1920s.
 
The sleeve is made from handwoven hemp and embellished with a stitched scrap of antique sari silk printed with a photograph I took of birds in a tree.
