This is a set of five cubes that have been collaged with prints of architecture from a 1950s encyclopedia.
I used a restricted colour palette of off-white and blue/grey which allows the images to stand out. They have been coated with encaustic wax which gives a beautiful patina and protects the cubes. The wax goes slightly dull over time but can simply be buffed with a soft cloth to restore the shine. Each cube is 3cm by 3cm. These look beautiful set on a shelf or coffee table - a beautiful way to display old images and papers.
The cubes will be carefully packaged and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity to show that they were handmade by me. Whilst every cube is unique, I can make commissioned cubes of similar designs if these are sold out.
