This beautiful original assemblage artwork was created as part of the Artful Memories Challenge, where a new piece is made each day in response to a creative prompt. The inspiration for this piece was:
 
"Hassan, a retired calligrapher, was asked to complete an unfinished prayer."
 
I combined an antique photograph with an old calligraphy pen nib and an antique bottle. The artwork is presented in a vintage playing card box that I carefully adapted to complement the piece.
