About the event
The purpose of the day is to gather a small group who would welcome some time to relax in a stunning location, learn new creative skills, eat incredible food, and spend time with like-minded people.Â
Liz, Purdy, and I are three friends who strongly believe in the power of creative community; learning together, and sharing wholesome food as a way of increasing well-being. We decided we'd like to combine our skills to offer a unique day that will feed all your senses and leave you feeling both relaxed and enriched.
- Liz will kindly be our host and welcome us into her beautiful home, on the edge of Dartmoor, and provide a nurturing space for us to spend a day together.
- Jane will provide an introduction to art journaling and share her experience of how it can help manage stress and anxiety as well as being a daily practice that gives joy. If you're unfamiliar with it, art journaling is a way of recording your thoughts and feelings in a sketchbook using collage, painting, sketching, and writing. The most important thing is that you need no art skills at all! This will be a practical session and all materials will be supplied, but feel free to bring your own basic art supplies if you have them (such as paints, pencils, pens). The whole point is to express yourself freely, have fun and not worry about the output!Â
- Purdy will demonstrate how to make delicious, vegetarian Punjabi food, such as onion bhajis, that we will then share with other exquisite homemade dishes for our lunch. Purdy will share her experience of how good food can be a powerful tool for bringing people together and feeding their souls. All ingredients will be provided.
NB - Gluten Free option can be provided - let us know at time of booking please, as well as any allergies.
If you love good food, and would love a relaxed day of easy creativity in a stunning house, then this is for you! There are just 10 places, so book early!
